Funeral services for Wilma M. “Billie” Farr, age 81, who passed away Nov. 7 in Sun City West will be held Monday (Nov. 19) at 11 a.m. at the Redeemer Lutheran Church with Rev. Bill Dietz officiating.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service time at the Church on Monday. Interment will follow in the Wickenburg Municipal Cemetery.

Wilma was born January 27, 1926 in Midland, Mich. She came to Arizona in 1946 and married Ralph Farr on Feb. 17, 1947. They made their home in Salome.

She was a mother and a homemaker in the early years. Together she and her husband ran the local motel, restaurant and bar along with the water company in Salome. She was a member of the VFW Post 3708 Women’s Auxiliary and the Women’s Club of Salome for over 50 years as well as a member of the Redeemer Lutheran Church in Wickenburg where she had served as an organist for years. She was recently honored as the grand marshal of the Dick Wick Hill Days in Salome.

Wilma was preceded in death by her husband Ralph in 1995 and is survived by her son Bill of Salom, grandson Chris of Salome, great-grandchildren William and Trinity, and a nephew Mike Friedle all of Salome. She is also survived by her brothers Kenny Friedle and Dale Friedle, a sister Carolyn Friedle, and several nieces and nephews.

Arrangements are under the direction of Wickenburg Funeral Home.
