The Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, AZ Dec. 12, 2007, p. A9 Margaret Elizabeth Fisher Dean was born April 18, 1931 in Grants, N.M., the daughter of Frank Douglas Fisher and Hattie Inez (Rutledge) Fisher. She was a graduate of the Williams High School and attended Northern Arizona College. She was married to Joseph Bailey Dean, Jr. on July 22, 1950 in Phoenix, Ariz. Together they had five children. Margaret was very active in 4-H along with her children. She was the Mother Advisor of the Rainbow Girls, was a member of the Home Extension Club and was a member and Past Worthy Matron of the Order of the Eastern Star. She loved to read, do crafts, and enjoyed taking photos of her family at family gatherings. The most important thing for Margaret was the time spent with her husband, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Margaret was of the Methodist faith, and was an active member of Asbury Methodist Church of Ada, Okla. Margaret departed this life on Thursday, Dec. 6, in Tahlequah, Okla., at the age of 76 years. Preceding her in death were her parents, husband Joseph on Oct. 30, 2003, and one infant son Bradford Bailey Dean, in 1953. Survivors include children Frank Wesley Dean of Cortez, Colo., Peggy Sue Atwood and husband Daniel of Ada, Okla., Cheryl Denise Dean of Cortez, Colo., and Douglas Floyd Dean and wife Kaye of Imperial, Neb.; her grandchildren, Misty and B.J. Boyd, Dustin and Alicia Atwood, McCarren and Nick Caputa, Whitney and Phil Reuss, Kassandra and Logan Junghanns, Christopher Atwood, Krystle Dean and Scott Dean; great-grandchildren, Paisleigh Atwood, Thatcher Atwood, Zain Caputa and Kaylee Junghanns; her first cousin, Bob Wayne Williams and wife Iris; as well as a host of friends and loved ones. The family requests that those wishing to make memorial donations do so to the United Methodist Boys Ranch in Gore, Okla. or to the Asbury Methodist Church in Ada. Margaret will be laid to rest with her husband in Wickenburg, Ariz. Services have been entrusted to the Hart Funeral Home in Tahlequah, Okla. See Also: Find A Grave |
