Jayne R. Gerrard, born Oct. 25, 1927 in Glendale, Ariz., died Dec. 8 in Sun City Ariz.

She is survived by her adoring husband Dan of 59 1/2 years; son Dan Jr. and wife Vivian; daughter Kathy and husband Joel; and daughter Karen; also by her grandchildren Lena, Alison, Nicolas and Lily.

Jayne and Dan met while attending Phoenix Union High School, and they went to Trinity Episcopal Cathedral Phoenix together where she sang in the choir.

Jayne was a devoted Christian teammate and followed her loving soul-mate in his career in the newspaper business, and a full and blessed career in ministry for 50 years.

Her pleasures in life centered around her family, and she cherished that time with music, good food, friends, sharing lots of laughter.

Everyone who knew her will miss her more than words can express. She had a special gift of always thinking the best of everyone. We are all so blessed to have had her in our lives.

Let’s each one of us when we think of her good graces, keep her spirit alive!

Services for Jayne Gerrard will be held Friday (Dec. 14) at 11 a.m. at St Alban’s Episcopal Church in Wickenburg, and Saturday (Dec. 15) at 11 a.m. at Trinity Cathedral in Phoenix.

Arrangements are by David’s Desert Chapel Funeral Home of Wickenburg.
