Ruth Lee Wade, 91, of Phoenix AZ, passed away peacefully on December 14, 2000 at her home while surrounded by loved ones. She was born to Samuel and Beulah Prater on May 26, 1909 in Clovis, NM and moved to AZ with her family at an early age. She is survived by her three daughters Norma Carlson, Barbara Pope and Donna Evraets, two son-in-laws, and her sister, Dollie Deloach of San Diego. She had 13 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren and 10 great-great-grandchildren. She was always known as Grammy and adored by the many children she cared for over the years, including those other than family that she provided a home for. She was a help-mate and loving wife to her husband of 43 years, Raymond ''Ray'' Wade, who preceded her, and guardian angel to all the rest of us. If love alone could have saved her, she never would have died. She will be in our hearts forever, but we are grateful to God for taking her home at last. There will be a private graveside service for her on Saturday, December 16th, at Double Buttes Cemetery. Arrangements under the direction of Chapel of the Chimes Mortuary.
