Velda London, 67, Kearny, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 16, 2004 in Mesa. Mrs. London was born June 30, 1937 in Durango, Colorado to Joseph and Nina Eaton. A homemaker, she married Grafton London Sept. 27, 1958 and they made their home in the Copper Basin area where they raised their family. She was very talented at sewing, embroidery and various crafts. She was a wonderful cook and hosted the family New Year’s dinner for many years. Survivors include her husband, Grafton D. London of Kearny; daughter, Connie and husband Clinton Troy Merrill of Show Low; son, Dean and wife Adrienne L. London of Mesa; siblings, Paul (Lavona) Eaton of Vernal, Utah, Twila Bowels of Kearny, Wells (Iola) Eaton of Kearny, Tony Branson of Ferndale, Washington, and Boyd Zufelt of Riverside, California; seven grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. A visitation and funeral services were held Saturday, Nov. 20, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Kearny with Bishop Edwin Colby conducting. Interment followed at Kearny Memorial Cemetery. Griffith Mortuary assisted the family. |
