Paul Leland Wright, born March 13, 1927, died at the Ridge Crest Care Facility in Paradise Valley, Ariz., on December 27. He was 78 years old. He was born to Herbert Wright, a Baptist minister, and Elsie Morse Wright in Beatrice, Neb., both deceased.

He was preceded in death by brothers Fred Wright and Harold Wright, sisters Margaret Runmaker, Kathryn Smith, Lois Smith, and a grandson Randy Leger.

He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Eran Faye Wright, Sun City, Ariz.; stepchildren Joan Strader of Glendale, Ariz., and Jimmy Massey of Blue Springs, Mo.; grandchildren Glen Leger of Glendale, Ariz., Melinda Rezac of Peoria, Ariz., and Christine Massey of Lee's Summit, Mo.; eleven great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. He is also survived by sisters Dorothy Brunsback, Francis Smith, Sarah Rhone and Shirley Nelson, all of Lincoln, Neb.

Paul was a World War II Marine Veteran. He attended East Texas State College and Baylor University Law School. He retired from the State of California Disability Insurance Section.

Paul was an active Mason for 35 years, being raised in the Masonic Liberal Arts Lodge in Los Angeles, Calif., and later transferring his membership to the Hassayampa Lodge 37 in Wickenburg, where he was a past Master. Faye and Paul lived in Wickenburg for 23 years where Faye was active in real estate for 18 years and Paul was retired.

There will be a Masonic graveside funeral service at the Wickenburg Cemetery in Wickenburg at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 7. All of his friends are invited to attend the services.

The family would like to take this opportunity to express their appreciation to the staff of the Ride Crest home and the Hospice Association for their care of the deceased.
