Lowell Marvin Jr. Inman

Lowell Marvin Inman, Jr. of Montrose, Colo., died Monday night, March 6 at his residence in Montrose at the age of 76.

Lowell was born in Williams, Ariz., on June 21, 1929, the son of Lowell Marvin Inman, Sr. and Willie Mae (McCorquodale) Inman. He grew up in Arizona and received his high school education in Glendale, Ariz.

During the Korean Conflict, Lowell served his country in the United States Navy. He was a Navy Frogman.

On Oct. 18, 1952, Lowell was united in Marriage with Charlotte Ann Campbell in Phoenix, Ariz. Lowell and Charlotte shared 53 wonderful years of marriage.

Prior to his retirement, Lowell was employed as an area manager for the Arizona Public Service. In August of 1986, the Inmans moved from Wickenburg to Montrose where they made their home until the time of Lowell’s death.

Lowell loved and greatly enjoyed his family. He also enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, fishing, and was always involved in different projects he enjoyed piddling with.

Surviving family members who were honored to share Lowell’s life included his wife Charlotte Ann Inman of Montrose and sons Lowell Marvin Inman III and wife Jan of Deckers, Colo.; Charles Michael Inman of Fort Worth, Texas; daughter Deborah lea and husband Jeff Lovill of Arvada, Colo.; nine grandchildren Ryan, Adam and Logan Lovill, Kristy and Lindsey Inman, and Sam, Joanna, Andy and Amy Inman; four great-grandchildren Benjamin, Bailey, Abby and Audrey; brothers Bill Inman and wife Pauline of Montrose and Charles Inman and wife Barbara of Houston, Texas.

Lowell was preceded in death by his parents, one brother Duncan Inman, and one grandson Matt Inman.

A funeral service of celebration of Lowell’s life was officiated at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, march 11 at the Crippin Funeral Home Chapel in Montrose. Interment followed the service in the grand View Cemetery, west of Montrose.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contribution may be made to Hospice and Palliative Care of Western Colorado, In Memory of Lowell Inman Jr., P.O. Box 1804, Montrose, CO 81402.

Arrangements were handled under the direction and care of Crippin Funeral Home and Crematory, 802 E. Main, in Montrose (970-249-2121).
