The Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, AZ March 29, 2006, p.B8 Inez-Marie Prather (nee Amosso), born October 11, 1912 in West New York, N.J., died March 25 in Johntown, Ariz. Mrs. Prather lived most of her life in Arlington, Va., and later in Dunedin, Fla. She relocated to Phoenix six years ago to be closer to her son. While her husband was stationed at the Pentagon in Washington, D.C., Mrs. Prather was a Red Cross volunteer during World War II. She later trained underwriters for the company that became GEICO. In the 1950s, she joined the federal government as a contracts administrator in the Electronics Purchase Division of the Naval Ships Systems Command in Washington, D.C. Mrs. Prather is predeceased by a son and survived by a son Thomas of Wickenburg, Ariz., and a niece Francine Oemcke of Colorado Springs, Colo. Private services and burial were held at George Washington Cemetery in Paramus, N.J. |
