The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona - 08/29/2003 Mary Ann Edwards Elkins, 69, died Aug. 26, 2003, in Flagstaff. She was born Sept. 28, 1933, in Ft. Sumner, N.M. Mary Ann and Bill were ranchers for their married life. She did whatever needed to be done to help on the ranch. She was a special Granny to her grandchildren and a support to her husband and children in all that they wanted out of life. She was an active member of the Northern Arizona Cowbelles. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her. She is survived by her husband, Bill Elkins, of Snowflake; children, Sherrie (Lonnie) Sherwood of Taylor, Billy (Sheri) Elkins of Snowflake, Bryan (Jeannine) Elkins of Lakeside, and Suzanna (JT) Bryant of Gilbert; 15 grandchildren; brothers, Grover Edwards, Harold Edwards and Brown Edwards of New Mexico, and Richard Edwards of Kentucky. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and in-laws. Funeral services were held Saturday, Aug. 30, 2002, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Main Street Chapel in Snowflake.
