| The White Mountain Independent Show Low, Arizona 07/07/2006 Peggy Louise Hatch, loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend, left Flagstaff and this world July 3, 2006 at the age of 77. She suffered a stroke Tuesday, June 27. Peggy was born in Lancaster, Calif. June 24, 1929. She spent her youth in Monticello, Utah and Snowflake. Peggy raised her young family in Prescott, and worked for the City of Prescott for many years. In 1970, Peggy and her two sons moved to Flagstaff. Peggy worked as a secretary for the mayor, the council and several city managers for over 19 years at the City of Flagstaff. After retiring from the City, Peggy worked for her son at his plumbing business until the time of her death. Peggy was a lifelong member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and her faith guided every aspect of her life. She held many positions in her church and served in the Young Women's organization for over 15 years, influencing many young women. Peggy cared deeply for her family and the many friends she has fostered throughout her life. Her greatest accomplishment has been her family and the joy she has given and received from each one of them. Peggy is survived by her children, Jacqueline Hatch of Flagstaff, Steven G. Hatch (Leslie) of Mesa and Douglas S. Hatch (Cricket) of Flagstaff. She is also survived by four brothers and three sisters. Her greatest pride and joy were her 19 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Peggy was preceded in death by her parents, a son, daughter, grandson and granddaughter. A viewing will be held Friday, July 7, at Norvel Owens Mortuary, 914 E. Route 66, Flagstaff, from 6-8 p.m. Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 8, at 10 a.m. at the Linda Vista Ward Chapel of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints at 2401 E. Linda Vista, Flagstaff. Peggy will be laid to rest with a graveside service at the Mike Ramsey Cemetery in Snowflake at 4 p.m. July 8. Arrangements are by Norvel Owens Mortuary in Flagstaff.
