Judith Rogers, 85, died Jan. 7, 2006 at the Carriage House in Snowflake. She has lived there for the past five years battling Alzheimer's.

She was born Feb. 17, 1920 in Baylor, Montana to Fred and Dorothy Fuhrmann. She was married to Clair Rogers during WWII before he went overseas. After he returned home they moved quite often but settled in Snowflake in 1957. She was always active in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and was known as a hard worker. Judith loved working in her yard and garden and she canned everything she could.

She was most famous for her dill pickles, pear butter and homemade salsa. She was the best cook in the world, too.

Judith is survived by one daughter, Clarice (Richard) Shumway of Payson and Snowflake; two sons, Loren (Linda) of Rigby, Idaho and Gary (Liz) of Lakeside; 13 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren; six brothers, Roy, Hank, Cletus, Robert, Gary and Jerome; and four sisters, Vesta, Fern, Agnes and Betty.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 14 at the Snowflake Stake Center, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Burial will follow in the Snowflake Cemetery.

Her family would like to acknowledge Patty and Larry and all the wonderful staff at the Carriage House for their devotion and loving care for mom.

Owens Mortuary of Snowflake handled arrangements.
