Jerry Dale Wiltbank

Jerry Wiltbank, 75, died Sept. 13, 2005 at RTA Hospice and Palliative Care in Lakeside.

He was born in Eagar where he grew up and graduated from Round Valley High School in 1948.

Following high school he enlisted in the Air Force and served during the Korean Conflict. In 1954 he attended BYU then graduated from Arizona State University.

He married Dorothy Ziegler in Eagar on August 24, 1957. They made their home in Glendale where Jerry taught school. They moved to Snowflake in 1970 where Jerry taught fourth and fifth grades at Snowflake Intermediate School and drove a school bus for many years, retiring from the school in 1992. He was also a volunteer Fireman for 21 years and served as the Fire Chief for part of that time. He also served in the Boy Scouts for 36 years. He served four Stake Missions, two years at the Family History Center in Snowflake and also with The Church Education System in East Lansing, Michigan.

Jerry is survived by his wife, Dorothy of Snowflake; two sons, Kenneth (Laura) Wiltbank of Snowflake and Benjamin (Abbey) Wiltbank of Mesa; four daughters, Lydia (Larry) Lewis of Chandler, Cindi (Ralph) Orr of Tillamook, Oregon, J.D. (George) Waller of Corona, Calif. and Summer (Justin) Pierce of Snowflake; two brothers, Jack (Rusty) Wiltbank of Grants Pass, Oregon and Frank Wiltbank of Eagar; three sisters, Mary Jo (Raymond) Anderson of Fredonia, Utah, Ruth (Bob) Knorr of Soldotna, Alaska and Ann (Al) Wildenstein of Pleasant Mt., Pa. and 20 grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 17 at Snowflake Stake Center, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints with a visitation from 6-8 p.m. Friday, Sept.16 at the church and one hour prior to services. Burial will be in the Snowflake Cemetery.

Owens Mortuary of Snowflake is handling arrangements.
