Wayne Sievers, 82, of Fountain Hills peacefully went to be with his Lord and Savior on June 16, 2007. Wayne was born in Shelton, Neb., the third of five children born to Joseph and Agda (Emanuelson) Sievers. Wayne served three and one half years in the Army Air Force during World War II. On June 30, 1946, Wayne was united in marriage with Lois Marie Watts in Grand Island, Neb. Wayne worked most of his working years for the Railway Express Co. which took the family to California in 1954. They moved to Fountain Hills in 1986. Wayne was preceded in death by his father and mother, and brothers, Gustav and LeRoy. He is survived by his wife, Lois; sons, Raymond of Clarksville, Tenn. and Kenneth of Buckeye, Ariz.; grandsons Brian of Clarksville, Tenn., Travis of Tucson, Todd of New Boston, Texas and Brett of Tempe; as well as five great-grandchildren and his sister, Doris Kline of Vacaville, Calif., and brother, Dean of Dresser, Wis. Services will not be held until later in the fall. Memorial donations may be made to Hospice of the Valley. The service was held at Community Chapel, 15202 N. Fountain Hills Blvd. (formerly Fountain Hills Community Church). Pastor Steve Gilbertson will conduct the service.
