Sylvia Wainwright

Sylvia Wainwright, former resident of Fountain Hills, died July 29, 2007 at her home in Mesa after a long battle with ALS (Lou Gehrig’s disease).

While living in Fountain Hills, on Inca Drive, she was very active with various needlework organizations in town and particularly enjoyed embroidery and knitting.

Sylvia was born on March 18, 1940, in Wombwell, South Yorkshire, England, and is survived by her husband, Anthony Wainwright of Mesa; her son; Christopher of Mesa; and son Andrew and wife Tracy of Mesa.

A memorial service was held Aug. 4, 2007, in Chandler, and private burial will be held at a future date in England.
