Betty May Peterman, 76, died Saturday, July 14, 2007 in Lubbock, Texas. Mrs. Peterman was born May 9, 1931 in Lansing, Mich. to Henry and Levona (Grimwood) Holley. She graduated from Lansing schools in 1949. Betty married James Floyd Peterman on May 14, 1949 in Lansing, Mich. and lived in the Perry/Shaftsburg area for more than 40 years. James preceded her in death on May 22, 2007. Mrs. Peterman worked as a cafeteria supervisor with the Perry School District and was also employed by MESSA Insurance for six years. After retirement, she and James lived in Fountain Hills and she was a member of the Church of Christ. Survivors include her children, Michael and wife, Susan of Portland, Mich., Jeffrey and wife, Dawn of Lubbock, David and wife, Brenda of Owosso, Mich. and Penny Myers and husband, Chris of Hutchinson, Kan. She is also survived by nine grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Her brother, Richard and wife, Carol Holley of Perry, Mich. her two sisters, Donna Ryan of Arizona and Virginia and husband, Ernam Royston of Charlotte, Mich., and several nieces and nephews also survive her. A memorial service celebrating her 76 years of life was held at Shaftsburg Methodist Church in Shaftsburg, Mich. Published in the Fountain Hills Times July 25, 2007. |
