Jean Albach Russell

Jean Albach Russell passed away at Del E. Webb Memorial Hospital in Sun City on March 11. She was 68.

Jean was born in Omaha, Neb. on March 8, 1934. She attended the Brownell Hall Episcopal Girls School in Omaha, and later graduated from the University of Iowa. At the university she was a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma Sorority.

Jean resided in Des Moines, Iowa for 10 years, teaching in elementary schools and was a member of the Junior League.

Jean married Richard Wyatt Russell on July 5, 1958. Jean and Richard raised their three children in Steamboat Springs, Colo., where she served on the board of the Steamboat Springs Winter Sports Club.

Jean and Richard lived in Cheyenne, Wyo. for 11 years, before moving to Wickenburg in 1994.

Jean was an active supporter of the Desert Caballeros Western Museum and the Wickenburg Regional Medical Center.

Her husband, Richard, survives her, along with three children: Elizabeth Russell McClintock and husband Kevin of Wellesley, Mass., Richard Clayton Russell and wife Courtney of Boulder, Colo., and David Wyatt Russell and wife Kelli of Englewood, Colo. In addition, she is survived by her brother Jack Albach and wife Lloyda of Albuquerque, N.M.; and six grandchildren.

Memorial services will be held on Friday, March 22 at St. Alban Episcopal Church, 357 W. Yavapai St., Wickenburg.
