The Wickenburg Sun Wickenburg, AZ - July 3, 2007 Alice Rose Flower of Wickenburg, and formerly of Scottsbluff, Neb., has joined the Lord. She passed June 24, at the age of 77 at the Golden Living Center. Alice was born Nov. 15, 1929 to August and Verla Abraham in Armel, Colo. Alice was a resident of Wickenburg for the past 15 years, and they were happy and rewarding times. She was proud to be a member of BPOE and served as Exalted Ruler and was also a member and past president of the Wickenburg Lions Club as well as Eastern Star and the Soroptomists. Throughout Alice's life she held many roles, mother, friend, wife, teacher, hostess, leader, and volunteer. She met many people across the United States -- politicians, governors, senators, actors, singers -- but loved the common people the most and was a champion of the less fortunate. She is survived by sons Ken Flower, Dan Flower, Tom Flower, Steve Flower, Dave Flower, and their families, which include 11 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her former husband Louie C. Flower, son Les Flower, and parents August and Verla Abraham. At her request she was cremated and there will be no memorial service. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Prairie Haven Hospice of Scottsbluff, Neb., and Hospice of the Valley in Surprise, Ariz. Her ashes will be held at the St. Albans Episcopal Church in Wickenburg. ********* The Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, AZ Nov 21, 2007 p.
