Helen Marie Rose, 91, of Camp Verde, died in Cottonwood on Tuesday, Dec. 4, 2007. She was born in Pangburn, Ark., on April 8, 1916, to Harvey and Bessie (Taylor) Short.

Helen worked in the grocery industry for most of her life. She was a member of the Church of Christ and taught Sunday school until she was 82.

Helen leaves behind three sons, Boyd W. (Caralyn) Rose of Walnut Creek, Calif., Eddie M. (Kathye) Rose of Camp Verde, and Robert G. (Joyce) Rose of Los Angeles, Calif.; daughter, Anne M. (Carlos) Madrigal of Yuma; one sister, Winnie Jolliff of San Diego, Calif.; 12 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.


A memorial service will be held Tuesday, Dec. 11, at 2 p.m. at the Camp Verde One in Christ Church. Interment will take place Wednesday, Dec. 12, at 10 a.m. at the Valley View Cemetery in Clarkdale
