Funeral services will be conducted in the Memorial Chapel at Greenlawn Mortuary at 1:30pm Wednesday for Irvin Carter Glenn, 53, 731 Brown St., who died Feb 4 in a Bakersfield hospital. Dr Carl M Purdy will officiate.

Interment will be in the Garden of Roses Section in Greenlawn Memorial Park. Mr Glenn was born in Arizona and had lived 38 years in Kern County. He was a clerk for 24 years and was last employed by the Southern Pacific Railroad. He was a member of the Brotherhood of Railway Clerks.

Mr Glenn was related to the family that founded Glennville.

Survivors include widow, Opha M; sons, Winston of Bakersfield and Grant in the United States Navy; daughter, Betty of Bakersfield; sister, Freda M Butler of Fresno; one brother, Orville Jr, of Bakersfield; his parents, Mr and Mrs Orville Glenn Sr of Bakersfield; and one grandchild.

Pallbearers are Nel Pierce, Clarence Eoff, Clinton Sullivan, Carl Shackelford, John Daoutis and Earnie Maxwell.
