| Palo Verde/Quartzsite Times Thursday, August 27, 2009 Maria Paula DeLaRosa Gonzalez, 84, known by family and friends as 'Mary', passed away Aug. 24, 2009 at Eisenhower Medical Center in Rancho Mirage, Calif. Mary was born Oct. 29, 1924 in Hondo, Texas to Filiberto and Juana DeLaRosa. She married Conrado H. Gonzalez on Dec. 12, 1948 in Delano, Calif. and soon thereafter settled in the Palo Verde Valley. She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Conrado Gonzalez; her children, Conrado Jr., Johnny, Bobby, Benny, Richard, Tony, Jesse, Gilbert, Lupe, Linda, Porfilia and Angie; 53 grandchildren; 84 great grandchildren; her siblings, Paula Martinez, Lupe DeLaRosa, Maggie Gonzalez, Johnny DeLaRosa and Julio DeLaRosa; as well as many nieces and nephews and other relatives. Mary was preceded in death by her two daughters, Rachel Sifuentes and Janie Diaz; and three brothers, Joe, Jesse and Marcelino DeLaRosa. Funeral Mass will be held Aug. 28, 2009 at 10 a.m. at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church with burial following at Palo Verde Cemetery.
