The Daily Courier, Prescott, Arizona Wednesday, August 19, 2009 Caru Julian Leftwich III, 41, born Aug. 30, 1967, went to be with the Lord on Aug. 15, 2009. Caru was a loving man and cherished his wife, children and mother. All who knew him loved him and for Caru no one was a stranger. He touched many hearts and for that he will truly be missed. Caru enjoyed camping and traveling with his family and friends. He served his country honorably for five and a half years as an MP in the United States Army and was a veteran of the first Gulf War. Caru is survived by his loving wife and best friend Valarie; daughters Julian (Brad) and Alice Joy; mother Johnnie Hundley; brothers James and Scott (Debbie), both of Tempe, Ariz.; nieces Tara, Gina, Natalie and Alyssa; and nephews Jimmy and Luke. He especially loved spending time with Dwight. His father, Billy Leftwich, preceded him in death. In lieu of flowers, we ask that you make a donation to your favorite charity. Celebration of Life will be 1 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 22, 2009, at St. Catherine Laboure Catholic Church, 2062 N. State Route 89, Chino Valley, with Father Fred presiding. The family requests that you join them at the American Legion, 650 E. Road 3 South in Chino Valley, following the service. Hampton Funeral was entrusted with the arrangements.
