Raymond Charles (Pappy) Cuka

On Sunday, Aug. 16, 2009, Ray Cuka, age 84, completed his life journey and went to be with his Lord.

Ray was born May 5, 1925, in Tyndall, S.D. After growing up, Ray served his county in the Marine Corps during WWII in the Pacific Theater.

Ray moved to Arizona and worked in the construction field as a heavy equipment operator.

Ray loved the outdoors and spent his free time fishing and hunting.

Ray also loved his family and he is survived by children Tim (Bridget) Cuka, Jim Cuka, Charles Cuka, Mike (Connie) Cuka, Beth (Mike) Cuka-Twyford and Dawn Miller. Ray also has numerous grandchildren including Tom, Chris and Mike Smith and numerous great-grandchildren.

Ray was preceded in death by his first wife, Elizabeth Cuka, and his second wife, Rosemary Cuka-Smith. Ray will be greatly missed and will forever be in our thoughts.
