Funeral Held For Al. E. Anderson

The Host of Friends of Al Anderson, Shocked and Saddened by his Sudden Death Wednesday Morning Paid Their Last Respects this afternoon.

Funeral services were conducted at 3 o'clock this afternoon by BPOE Lodge No. 330 of Prescott for Albert Edward Anderson member of the Elk's Lodge of Prescott for many years, who passed away at his home were following a prolonged illness at 6 a.m. Wednesday morning.

William Cline, Sr. Exaulted Ruler, officiated at the funeral and Gary Vine also of Prescott Elks sang two beautiful songs. Interment was made in the Wickenburg Cemetery.

The esteem in which he was held evinced by the many magnificent floral offerings and the large number of friends who were present at the funeral this afternoon. Many members of the Prescott Elks Lodge attended, as well as friends from the coast.

Although Mr. Anderson came to Wickenburg as a health seeker 12 years ago and had been in ill health for several months, his death came as a chock to his many friends throughout Arizona and California.

Born in London, Ont., March 14, 1876, Mr. Anderson came to this country at the age of three. After spending sometime in Los Angeles and Colorado, he moved to Prescott and engaged in the drug store business in 1899. Twelve years ago, in 1927, he came to Wickenburg and entered into the café business, opening al's Café at the Hill's Garage.

Always interested in civic affairs he was an active member in the Round-up Club and other local civic organizations.

The business houses in Wickenburg closed between 3 and 3:30 this afternoon at which time the funeral was being held.

The only immediate survivor is his wife, Mrs. Myrna Anderson, also well known here and for whom the sympathy of the community pours forth without stint at this time of bereavement. Her brother arrived here Wednesday from California to near Mrs. Anderson at this time.
