Lillian (Alfano) Winker

Lillian Alfano Winker, 89 years old, born April 18, 1920, in New York, died Aug. 25, 2009, in Prescott, Ariz.

Lillian was raised in New York. She married Albert Winker on July 2, 1939. The family moved to Granada Hills, Calif., in 1963 where she worked for the Bank of America. In 1988 Lillian and Albert moved to Palmdale, Calif., and lived there until 2003. In 2003, they moved to Prescott, Ariz.

Lillian always enjoyed cooking, large family dinners and foreign travel, including memorable visits to France, Italy and Thailand.

Lillian is survived by her husband of 70 years, Albert Winker; her son Thomas Winker, also of Prescott; and grandson Cary Thomas Winker of Phoenix, Ariz. She was preceded in death by her son Richard and her grandson Jonathan Winker.

No services are planned at this time.
