Michael Steven McKinney 1/28/1952 - 8/29/2009 Michael “Mike” Steven McKinney, died August 29, 2009 at his home in Dewey, AZ. He was born January 28, 1952 in Ohio, the son of James and Barbara McKinney. Mike was 57 years old. He worked for the US Postal Service for just over 10 years, recently serving as a mail carrier for the Prescott Post Office. Mike enjoyed collecting antiques, gardening, cooking and entertaining his friends and family. He was most proud of his strong work ethic. Mike is survived by his wife Melanie Thomas of 10 years, sons; Russell McKinney and Brian McKinney both of Phoenix, AZ, sister; Cheryl (Ken) Nagle, of Washington State. Survivors also include two grandchildren. Mike was preceded in death by his parents. A Celebration of Mike’s life will be held 5:30pm Saturday, September 12, 2009 at the Arizona Ruffner Wakelin Funeral Home, 303 S. Cortez St, Prescott. Burial will be private.
