The Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, AZ April 19, 2006, p. A13 Alma M Avery was born Oct. 30, 1920 in Oakland, Calif., to Marvin Bell and Madeline Armstrong Bell. She was raised there and attended schools there. Alma married Jack Avery in 1940, and they made their home in Mulford Gardens, Calif. Jack passed away in 1968, and she later married Jake Jacobs. They moved to the Forepaugh area. She and Jake later divorced. She moved to Aguila with companion Lee York until Lee's passing in 1996, when she moved to Congress to live with her daughter. Alma is survived by daughters and sons-in-law Patricia and Bob Bernhardt and Nori and Don Frost, both of Congress, and daughter Joan Levey of Catalina Island, Calif.; grandchildren Liz Price of Arkansas, Deidre Siciliani and Jessica Cummings both of Vacaville, Calif, Jason Price of Arkansas, John Levey of Catalina, Calif., and Bob McLevey of San Jose, Calif.; seven great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. No formal services will be held. Arrangements under the direction of Wickenburg Funeral Home. |
