| The Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, AZ April 26, 2006, p. A13 Delbert H. Tharp, 85, passed away peacefully on Easter Sunday, April 16 in Brenham, Texas. He was born in Richmond, Ind., on Dec. 12, 1920. He was a Wickenburg resident for many years until he moved to Brenham in 2005 to be near his daughter and family. Delbert was a retired federal employee from Dayton, Ohio, and a retired spiritual minister. He served in the Army Air Corp in World War II. He was preceded in death by his wife Lena, brother Claude, sister Inez and twelve-year companion Dorothy Morton. He is survived by his daughter Tamarr (Jonathan) Knapp, grandchildren Eric (Stephanie) Fuentes, Alec (Shanna) Fuentes, Mark Knapp and great-grandchildren Alissa, Brian, Kailinn, Gabriel, and Noah, all in Texas. Cremation and service were held in Brenham. He'll be deeply missed by his loving family. |
