Delbert H. Tharp, 85, passed away peacefully on Easter Sunday, April 16 in Brenham, Texas. He was born in Richmond, Ind., on Dec. 12, 1920.

He was a Wickenburg resident for many years until he moved to Brenham in 2005 to be near his daughter and family.

Delbert was a retired federal employee from Dayton, Ohio, and a retired spiritual minister. He served in the Army Air Corp in World War II.

He was preceded in death by his wife Lena, brother Claude, sister Inez and twelve-year companion Dorothy Morton. He is survived by his daughter Tamarr (Jonathan) Knapp, grandchildren Eric (Stephanie) Fuentes, Alec (Shanna) Fuentes, Mark Knapp and great-grandchildren Alissa, Brian, Kailinn, Gabriel, and Noah, all in Texas.

Cremation and service were held in Brenham.

He'll be deeply missed by his loving family.
