Ralph Brown, 78, of Wickenburg went to be with the Lord on May 5.

He was a United States Navy veteran serving in World War II, a United States Air Force veteran serving in Korea. He also served in the United States Army National Guard. Ralph was a lifetime member of the American Legion, VFW and Disabled American Veterans.

Ralph was born in 1928 and raised in Kansas. He was one of Owen and Esche Brown's 11 children. He is preceded in death by his parents, brothers Charles and Vernon, and sister Katherine Buschke.

He is survived by his loving companion Grace Fischer of Wickenburg; son Ralph Smith of Ellsworth, Kan.; daughters Beverly Simmons and Barbara Vancil both of Haysprings, Neb., and Renee Hart of Phoenix; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; brothers Roy Brown (Elfie) of Littleton, Colo., Owen “Buck” Brown of Salina, Kan.; and sisters Ellen Burns of Salina, Kan.; Mary Scheurle of Overland, Mo.; Leila Benson (William) of Phoenix, Ariz.; Kathleen Lampkin (Irvin) of Chestier, Va.; and Sharon Mast (Steve) of Sacramento, Calif. He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

A memorial service is planned at the American Legion Hall Post 12 in Wickenburg on Saturday, May 20 at 2 p.m.
