The Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, AZ May 17, 2006, p. A14. William Allan Crook, known to family as Al or Pops, passed away on May 10 while driving home from work. Born on August 26, 1941 in Dodgeville, Wis., he was a long time resident of the Morristown area. His father Ken and late mother Winnie were caretakers for the historical Castle Hot Springs Resort for many years where he also worked as a young man. Crook attended Wickenburg High School. He is survived by his wife and closest, dearest friend of over 43 years, Judy Crook; his loving children son Kasey Crook and daughter Vicki Stewart; grandchildren Nicole Stewart, Corey Crook, Bobby and Tony Stewart; his father Ken Crook; sisters Sharron, Ginger, and Linda; and many nieces and nephews. Crook was well known in the area for his devotion to his wife and family and the many activities they participated in - usually child centered. He often volunteered as a chaperone to enable students at his children's school to experience interesting field trips. In recent years he worked with his son Kasey in the construction industry. Al Crook is known to many for his work as a silver jewelry artisan. Circle City residents will miss his smiling face riding around the circles and greeting all he passed. Per his last request the family will not be holding any services. |
