Melvin Oran Lee, 91, passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 2, 2006. He was born on September 19, 1914 and had lived in the Yuma area since he was 19 years old.

Melvin worked as an Engineer for the Southern Pacific Railroad for 40 years, and was known by all railroaders as “Mo” Lee.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, Ruby (Harris), who passed away 18 years ago.

Melvin is survived by his daughters, Sharron Mershon and Shirley (Franklyn) Johns, both of Yuma. Our Daddy was greatly loved and will be missed by his daughters as well as his four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Daddy was a large man both in size and heart. His quiet manner, sense of humor and gentle nature will remain in the hearts of his loved ones forever.

Services will be at Johnson Mortuary Chapel on Saturday, April 8, 2006 at 1:30 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of Yuma.
