The Daily Courier, Prescott, Arizona Monday, September 25, 2006 Marjorie Ann McKay passed away Sept. 24, 2006; at the Hospice of Arizona Center near Del Webb Hospital in Sun City after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born on Jan. 20, 1922, to W. J. and Effie Tabor in Tucson, Ariz. She attended Arizona State Teachers College, (now NAU) 1940-1942, where she met and married Frasier Allen McKay, who preceded her in death in 1987. She is survived by daughter Sandy Byerley (Wayne); son Michael McKay (Rudee Lange); two granddaughters, Cherie McKay Lewis (John), and Christine Byerley; grandson, Dan Byerley; and two great-grandchildren, Rebecca Lewis and Byan Lewis. Marge spent nearly 30 years as an Air Force wife before retirement with Frasier in Marysvale, Utah. She settled in Wickenburg in 1999 after many years alone in Utah. She enjoyed Wickenburg and its opportunities to meet people, volunteer at the Soroptimist Thrift Store, and play Bingo at the American Legion. She loved seeing people she knew every time she shopped. Her unfailing good spirits, kind heart, and the twinkle in her eyes will be missed by all who knew and loved her. Memorial services will be held at St. Alban's Episcopal Church in Wickenburg on Friday, Sept. 29, at 6 p.m. Interment with family graveside services will be held in November in Prescott. In lieu of flowers, please make donations in her name to Best Friends Animal Sanctuary, 5001 Angel Canyon Road, Knab, Utah 84741, or St. Alban's Memorial Fund, St. Alban's Episcopal Church, 357 W.
