The Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, AZ Oct. 25, 2006, A12 Eleanor Perkins was of an adventurous and hearty heart. She was a member and officer of the Beta Sigma Phi in Alaska and distributed clothing to help villagers, drove the Powder Puff Auto Ice Races, was a world traveler, first mate, amateur photographer, and scuba diver aboard the Kismet sailing vessel for six years. She saw many a beautiful sunrise and sunset and weathered many a storm with her husband of 60 years. In her 80 years, she was a wonderful wife to Richard. As he says, “The only woman in the world I could have traveled the road of life with for 60 years.” She was a marvelous mother to Pamela Graybill and her husband Terry; Deborah Perkins, which precedes her; Gregg Perkins and his wife Annie; and Kimberly Perkins. She was also a proud grandmother of six: Richard, Aleesha, Amber, TJ, Alexis and Veronica. She was a beloved sister to Marilyn Goulding. Eleanor passed on Oct. 17 due to Alzheimer's disease. Her beautiful smile will be remembered by all her family and friends. Arrangements were made under the direction of Wickenburg Funeral Home. |
