| The Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, AZ Oct. 25, 2006, A12 Ruth A. Voshell, age 86, passed away Oct. 17 in Peoria, Ariz. She was born and raised in Portland and attended schools there. She graduated from Washington High School and later attended art school. She married Luster B. Voshell, Jr. March 30, 1942 in Portland while he was serving in the U.S. Army. They made their home in Portland. Ruth had worked as a designer with White Stag Sportswear for 17 years before retiring in 1974. They began wintering in Arizona shortly after retiring. Ruth was an exceptional artist, working mostly with colored pencil and oil paints. She began teaching art classes in the Yuma area. She was preceded in death by husband Luster on Aug. 3, 2000. She moved to Wickenburg in 2002 where she was a member of the Wickenburg Art Club. She is survived by daughter Judi Brock of Wickenburg, brother Howard Foster of Concord, Calif., grandson Jason Rockwell of Elko, Nev., and great-granddaughter Sahara Nalani Rockwell. Services will be held at a later date. Arrangements were made under the direction of Wickenburg Funeral Home. |
