A12 Funeral services for Pearle Ruth Tucker, 95, who passed away Nov. 4, 2006 in Peoria, Ariz., will be held Saturday (Nov. 11) at 3 p.m. at the Wickenburg Seventh-Day Adventist Church with Pastor George Garrick officiating, with interment to follow in the Wickenburg Municipal Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2:30 p.m. until service time at the Church. Pearle was born July 27, 1911 in Hominy, Okla., to James Franklin McCamey and Talitha D'Busk McCamey. Pearle graduated from high school and later attended Loma Linda Academy receiving her diploma in 1933 and began nurse's training at Loma Linda College of Medical Evangelists. She later graduated from St. Mary's Hospital Training School in Tucson in 1937. She worked in nursing for a brief time before her marriage to Oral W. Tucker in 1940. She then began working with Oral in his business as a bookkeeper. Pearle and Oral retired in Wickenburg. She was active in the Seventh-Day Adventist Church. Over the years she had made over 700 quilt tops for the Dorcas organization of the Church and served in the church in various positions. She is survived by her brother David McCamey of Shawnee Mission, Okla.; a sister Lillian Weeks of Riverside, Calif.; grandchildren Alan Tucker of Billings Mont., James Tucker of Phoenix, and Kathi Sweet of Mesa; great-granddaughters Rae and Corey Tucker of Billings, Mont.; several nieces and nephews; daughters-in-law Linda May of Durango, Colo., Karen Faulkner and Nancy Tucker both of Phoenix. She was preceded in death by her husband Oral Tucker, Sr. in 1984 and sons Oral Tucker, Jr. in 1982 and Tom Tucker in 1983. Arrangements are under the direction of Wickenburg Funeral Home. |
