The Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, AZ November 15, 2006, p. A12 Joan Paget “Joannie” was born in New York, the only child of Bertie Kenneth Paget on Sept. 17, 1928. She passed away unexpectedly at the Plaza Del Rio Care Center in Peoria on Tuesday, Oct. 31 after hip replacement surgery. She was a mother and homemaker in Southfield, Mich., until her divorce when she moved to Colorado. She made Aspen her home for many years where she ran a successful bookkeeping business. She moved to Phoenix in the early 1980s and was employed by Maricopa County until she retired. She spent many ears living in her motor home and finally opted to settle down in Wickenburg, where she purchased a home several years ago. There was no such thing as a stranger in Joannie's book. She had a fun-loving, adventurous spirit and simply loved to play cards and games. Her friend and Canasta buddy Xenia will greatly miss her. Joan is survived by her two sons Clifford (Clipper) Dunn and Gregory (Mac) Dunn, daughter-in-law Ann (Candy) Dunn, and grandchildren Steven Dunn and Allison Dunn. She was cremated at Wickenburg Funeral Home, and her ashes will be spread on the Great Lakes in Michigan, as well as at a memorial service given by her devoted friends in Aspen, Colo., next spring. |
