Funeral Service for Mrs. McCook

Funeral services were conducted Thursday afternoon at 2 o’clock for Mrs. Helenea C. McCook of Aguila, who was fatally injured December 31 in an automobile accident near here. Services were conducted by Hassayampa Chapter No. 35, Order of the Eastern Star, in the Community Presbyterian church.

Mrs. McCook was 54 years old, a member in New York of Doric chapter No. 801, Eastern Star, and the Lady Foresters of America. She also was an active member here of the women’s auxiliaries of Hassayampa post No. 2862, Veterans of Foreign Wars and Kellis-Draper post No. 12, American Legion.

Interment was made in the Wickenburg cemetery. Surviving in addition to her husband, George McCook, are two brothers and three sisters, all of New York.

Words are powerless to convey the universal and profound emotion evoked by such a tragedy. The passing of Helena G. McCook leaves a vacancy felt by all.
