The White Mountain Independent Show Low, AZ 03/27/2007 Launa Hulsey Burk, 93, died March 19, 2007, in Mesa. She was born June 12, 1913, in Luna, N.M., to Bailey and Jane Hulsey. Launa was a homemaker and loved her family, her faith, and her country. She loved jokes and laughter. She is survived by her children, Myrna (Dick) Udall of Eagar, Charlene (Lynn) Alexander of Spokane, Wash., Glenda Burk of Cave Creek, Marilyn (Ron) Cole of Eagar, Fred (Jerri) Burk of Grants, N.M., Beverly (Jerry) Campeau of Springerville, and Pam (Bill) Ghormley of Snowflake; 37 grandchildren, 72 great-grandchildren, seven great-great-grandchildren and one sister Ethel Hall. Preceding her in death was her husband, William Henry Burk, grandson Brian Alexander; brother Bufford Hulsey; and sisters Wanda Hall and Warda Hurley. Funeral services were held Saturday, March 24, at 11 a.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Springerville. A viewing will be held one hour prior to the service. Interment will be at the Eagar Cemetery. Burnham Mortuary of Eagar handled arrangements. See Also: Find A Grave |
