| The White Mountain Independent Show Low, Arizona 03/28/2006 Lisa Lou Downs, 46, died at White Mountain Regional Medical Center March 23, 2006. She was born June 14, 1959 at St. Johns. Lisa had a heart as big as the Texas prairie. She often opened her home to kids with problems and nowhere else to go. And because of this she became "Mom" to many. She was a hard worker. She spent a lot of time at the VFW. She cooked and cleaned and was always ready to help out with anything that came up. She said it was just a small way she could contribute and thank all the veterans for their faithful service to this country. She was a loving and serving wife, mother and grandmother. Lisa's survivors include her husband, Jim "Chip" Downs, Eagar; sons Richard Downs, Dakota Downs, Eagar; daughters Summer Davis, Duncan, Jessie Downs and Cierra Downs, Eagar; brother, Son Gibbons, Eagar; sisters Coleen Hamblin and Neita Eagar, Eagar; and four grandchildren. Funeral services were held March 27 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Eagar Stake Center.She was interred at Eagar Cemetery.
