Yvonne Norton Bigelow, 64, died at RTA Hospice in Lakeside, Oct. 12, 2006 after a short and unexpected battle with cancer.

She was born July 15, 1942 in Eagar, to James Lawrence and Mabel Rose Hoffman Norton.

Yvonne was an active, lifetime member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

She loved being around people and no one stayed a stranger after the first hello. She was bubbly and outgoing and loved to serve.

She told every child and grandchild that they were her "favorite" and they were indeed.

She loved a good joke and was the life of the party. Yvonne loved family history and was very involved in searching out ancestors.

She lit up a room when she entered and had everyone laughing. She left them feeling much better than when she had found them. Everyone, especially her "honey" Clinton, will miss her.

She was daughter, sister, wife, mom, grandma, great grandma and most of all, friend to many.

Her survivors include her husband, Clinton Emery Bigelow of Eagar; sons, Russell D. (Amie) Bigelow of Eagar, Sherod N. (Tiah) Bigelow of Gilbert; daughters, LaDee Parkey of Eagar; Kerri R. (Jeffrey P) Wilcock of Gilbert; Rachel (W. Barton) Wiltbank of Richville; and Leah (Shawn) Peña of Eagar; her stepmother, Daisy Emeline Norton of Mesa; brothers, Steven Norton of Mesa; James Mark Norton of Gilbert; Silas P. Norton of Mesa and Rush B. Norton of Mesa; sisters, Theresa Rose Goin of Eagar; Mary Jepson of Mesa and Joye Cole of Mesa; 23 grandchildren and one great grandchild. Preceding her in death are her parents, James and Mabel Norton, and brother Charles Lawrence Norton.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, Oct. 21 at 11 a.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Amity Ward Building, School Bus Rd, Eagar. Friends are invited to attend a visitation, Friday, Oct. 20, from 6-8 p.m. at Burnham Mortuary, 535 N Main St., Eagar. Interment will follow the funeral service at the Eagar Cemetery.

Burnham Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
