| The Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, AZ February 16, 2005, p. B9 Walter S. McDonald III, son of Walter S. McDonald, Jr. of Wickenburg, passed away peacefully at his home in Troy, Mo., on Friday, Jan. 21. He was born on March 24, 1955 to Walter Simms and Barbara Fitzgerald McDonald. Walter was a concrete finisher for M and H Concrete in St. Charles, Mo. He was a member of the Cement Mason's Union Local #527 in Bridgeton, Mo. Walter was preceded in death by his mother Barbara McDonald and sisters Claire McDonald and Mary Lou Sudela. He is survived by his father Walter S. McDonald, Jr.; stepmother Carolyn; sisters Barbara Ann Bowerbank and family and Virginia (Ginny) and Robert Prevost and family, all of Wickenburg; brothers Robert and Joan McDonald and family of Morristown, N.J. and Michael and Cathy McDonald and family of St. Charles, Mo. Walter is also survived by one son, Joshua, of Va. A memorial service was held on Jan. 28 in Missouri for family and friends. He was cremated and his ashes were returned to Wickenburg. Memorial services for Walter will be held in Wickenburg at the First Presbyterian Church on Friday, Feb. 25 at 3 p.m. Rev. Dr. James Longstreet will officiate. Family visitation will be held from 2:00 to 2:45 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 25 preceding the service. A reception at the First Presbyterian Church for family and friends will follow the service. Donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or a charity of choice. |
