Lucia R. Mulberg, age 56, beloved wife of Anthony and mother of Erik and Jessica, passed away on Dec. 27, 2007, after a long, courageous battle with breast cancer.

Lucia was born and raised in Mexico, one of five children. She immigrated to the U.S. in 1986 and was proud when she became a U.S. citizen. She attended college in California and completed her masters’ degree in language development at Azusa Pacific University.

She was educated as an elementary school teacher, teaching in several school districts in California and Arizona, and most recently taught third grade in the Ash Fork School District. She loved her family and the profession.

Commemoration services in honor of Lucia will be 10 a.m. Monday, Dec. 31, 2007, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 7885 E. Long Look Drive in Prescott Valley, with visitation one hour prior to the services at the church. Burial will be at Heritage Memorial Park in Dewey, Ariz.

The family suggests memorials in memory of Lucia be sent to YRMC Hospice in lieu of flowers.

Arrangements entrusted to Sunrise Funeral Home.
