The Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, AZ June 15, 2005, p. B10 Delbert C. "Del" Holowell, beloved husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, passed away June 8, 2005. He was born March 19, 1932 in Plumville, (Indian County), Pa. He was employed by the City of Oil City, Pa., moving to Akron, Ohio, in 1968 where he worked for Mohawk Rubber, Burger Iron, and Monarch Teledyne, and then moving to Arizona where he retired from VAW Aluminum in March of 1994. Del loved his motorcycles and horses, which made Arizona the perfect place for retirement. He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters Isabelle, LaRue, and Clara; half-sisters Esther and Millie; and half-brother Jack. He is survived by his wife Patricia, sister and brother-in-law Betty and Bob Dickerson; brothers and sisters-in-law Roy and Shirley Holowell and Ernie and Melinda Holowell; daughter and son-in-law Sue and Tom Taormina; son and fiancée Tom Holowell and Henrietta; step-sons and wives Mike and Ann, Dan and Linda, and Steve and Carol Lough; grandchildren Pam (Todd) Testa, Heather (Brian) Nehlsen, Jill Taormina, Tommy (Jaime) Holowell, Krista, Kelly, Katy, Drew, Ryan and Cody Lough; great-grandchildren Anthony and Dominic Testa, Madeline Taormina, Angela Finch, Haley and Hunter Nehlsen, and Riley Holowell. He also leaves numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. A memorial service will be held at a later date in Congress. Arrangements under the direction of Frey-Wickenburg Funeral Home. |
