Denver J. Shaffer gladly entered Heaven on Saturday, June 11, 2005. He was born in Centralia, Wash., on February 10, 1924.

He spent three years in the Army Air Force during World War II. He entered Pacific Bible College (now Warner Pacific) in Portland, Ore., in January 1946 to prepare to be a minister in the Church of God. He also attended Anderson College in Indiana, receiving the Master of Divinity Degree. He pastured churches in Minnesota, Idaho and Oregon before retiring.

He and his wife Idell, who survives him, moved to Arizona near Wickenburg in 1997.

He will be missed by many friends at North Ranch.

Memorial services will be held Saturday, June 18 at 10:30 a.m. at the First Baptist Church in Congress.

Burial will be at the Willamette National Cemetery in Portland, Ore.
