Stanleigh Megargee

Funeral Services for Mr. Stanleigh Megargee, age 78, who passed away June 24, 2005 in the Veteran's Hospital in Prescott, will be held today (Wednesday, June 29) at The Potter's House Church at 2 p.m. with Pastor Dave Robinson officiating. Concluding services and interment will follow in the National Cemetery of Arizona in Cave Creek.

Stanleigh was born in Colorado and served in the US Navy during World War II. Following his military service, he began working in waste management and had a contract with the Island of Catalina in California for years.

He came to Wickenburg in the 1980s and purchased a ranch near Wickenburg. He was a member of the American Legion and a member of The Potter's House Church.

He is survived by his son Tim Megargee; grandchildren Samuel Megargee, Faith Megargee and Benjamin Megargee; and a niece Melinda Ginsburg of California.

Arrangements are under the direction of Frey-Wickenburg Funeral Home.
