Arizona Silver Belt Globe, Arizona Wednesday, Aug 5th, 2009 Michael Anthony "Mike" Amado, 40, of Miami, passed away on Sunday, July 26, 2009, Miami. He was born in Miami on Oct. 10, 1968, the son of Helen (Cuellar) and Arthur Amado. He graduated from Miami High School and joined the United States Marine Corps on July 1987; he completed recruit training at Marine Corps Recruit Depot in San Diego. During the 11-week training cycle, he was introduced to the typical daily routine that he would experience during his enlistment, and studied the personal and professional standards traditionally exhibited by Marines. He proudly served his country in Operation Desert Storm and earned a National Defense Service Medal, Good Conduct Medal, Meritorious Mast and a Rifle Marksman Badge. He enjoyed spending time with his 3 sons, watching T.V., football, fishing, hunting, playing guitar, collecting rocks, hiking, and taking long walks. Mike was deeply loved and will be missed by his family and friends. Mike leaves behind in loving memory: three sons, Michael Jacob, Jarrot Ray and Jadron, all of Miami; his parents, Arthur G. and Helen Cuellar Amado of Miami; a brother, Arthur Amado Jr. of Miami; a sister, Cynthia Annette "Cindy" Amado, of Mesa; and his grandmother, Estefana Cuellar of Beeville, Texas. He is also survived by aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews from the Globe/Miami area; Beeville, Texas; Houston, Texas; Corpus Christi, Texas and California. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Anthony "Tony" and Angela Amado. Visitation was held at 6:30 p.m. on Friday, July 31, 2009 at the Miles Funeral Services Globe Chapel, 237 S. Sutherland St., Globe. Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 1, 2009, at the Miles Funeral Services Globe Chapel, 237 S. Sutherland St., Globe. Interment with Military Honors will be at Mt. Breeze Memorial Gardens, Highway 60, Mile Marker 240, Miami. Funeral arrangements for Michael A.
