| Arizona Silver Belt Globe, Arizona Wednesday, Aug 5th, 2009 Lillian Rivera "Baby" Gamez, 66, of Globe, passed away on Friday, July 24, 2009 at Heritage Health Care Center in Globe. She was on Jan. 10, 1943 in Globe, the daughter of Manuel and Lillian (Russell) Rivera. She worked as a nurse's aide for Chandler Regional Hospital and Mesa Lutheran Center. She enjoyed flowers, crafting, loved angels, and had fun decorating for the holidays. She was preceded in death by her father, Manuel Rivera. She is survived by her son, James A. Gamez of Mesa; her mother, Lillian Rivera of Globe; her sisters, Dorothy Rivera and Linda Smith (Roy), both of Globe, and Diane Tavares (John) of Mesa; many nieces and nephews; and two grandchildren. Visitation was held at 9:30 a.m. on Thursday, July 30, 2009 at Holy Angels Catholic Church in Globe. Rosary followed at 10:30 a.m. Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. at Holy Angels Catholic Church in Globe. Internment was at the Old Globe Cemetery. The family requests that memorials be sent to Holy Angels Catholic Church, 201 S. Broad St., Globe, AZ 85501. Lamont Mortuary of Globe assisted the family. See Also: Find A Grave |
