| The Daily Courier, Prescott, Arizona Wednesday, September 16, 2009 Cruz "Boy" R. Barra Jr., age 54, born May 27, 1955, passed on Sept. 11, 2009. Cruz lived his life here in Prescott. He was a U.S. Navy Vietnam veteran and worked in the VA Center. His pride and joys were his sons, Brandon Shane Cruz Barra, Rocky Barra and Richard Barra. He was deeply loved by his brothers and sisters who are Thomas Placencia (Virginia) of Albuquerque, N.M., Edward Placencia (Lena) of Texas City, Texas, Mary Deibler of Prescott, Elisa Torres of Prescott, John Placencia of Tucson, Ariz., Eve Palmer (Rick) of New River, Ariz., and Rebecca Esquivel of Prescott and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother, Donisia Placencia, father Cruz Sr. and brothers Albert Placencia and Felix Placencia. Cruz will be missed very much. Services will be on Friday, Sept. 18, 2009, at 10:30 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Prescott, Ariz. Hampton Funeral Home was entrusted with the arrangements.
