The Daily Courier, Prescott, Arizona Wednesday, September 16, 2009 Gladys Ida Speer Lisson, 75, of Horseshoe Bend, Ark., born Dec. 13, 1933, in Chicago, Ill., passed away Sept. 9, 2009, in Calico Rock, Ark. A memorial service will be 10 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 27, 2009, at Memory Park, 1020 W. Palomino Road, Chino Valley, Ariz. ------------------------------------ The Daily Courier, Prescott, Arizona Friday, September 25, 2009 Gladys Ida Speer Lisson, daughter of the late David Demoss Speer and Marie Anna Mueller Speer, was born Dec. 13, 1933 in Illinois. She departed this life on Sept. 9, 2009 in Calico Rock, Ark. at the age of 75 years, 8 months and 27 days. She was united in marriage to Truman S. Lisson on Sept. 6, 1952 in Brookfield, Ill. and to this union three children were born. Gladys spent her life as a daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother and homemaker. During her working years, she worked for the telephone company and at the Brookfield Zoo. She was a long time member of the Church of God and a member of the 1st Congregational Church in Brookfield, Ill. She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Truman S. Lisson; one son, Dan Lisson of Texas; two daughers and two sons-in-law, Linda and Kurt Morrill of Arizona and J.D. Willard and Gerald Chalmers of Huntsville, Texas; one brother, Carl H. Speer of Arizona; eight grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and many good friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Frank Roy Speer; one son-in-law, Daryl R. Willard; and several infant grandchildren. A memorial service will be 10 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 27 at Memory Park, 1020 W. Palomino Road, Chino Valley, Ariz. Information provided by survivors. |
