The Daily Courier, Prescott, Arizona Wednesday, September 09, 2009 Ann Louise Hale, 87, of Prescott, Ariz., died peacefully on Sept. 5, 2009. She was born in St. Louis, Mo., in 1922 to Albert and Lillian (Braun) Smith. Ann and Wilbur Hale, who predeceased her, started Hale's Motors Inc. in 1967. Ann retired to a comfortable life of gardening, traveling and sewing. In her earlier years, Ann was an Air Force wife and lived with her husband and children in many places in the U.S. plus overseas in Okinawa. Ann will be sorely missed by her four surviving sons, Richard, Steve, Jeff and Doug; their respective wives, Jill, Ann and Carol; four grandchildren, Mark, Matthew, Anissa and Jennifer Hale; and one great-granddaughter, Haley Hernandez. She had one daughter, Cheryl Latham, who predeceased her. Donations in memory of Ann may be made to a charity of choice. A private family gathering will take place at a later date.
