The Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, AZ September 28, 2005, p A10 Memorial services for Jean Weidmann will be held this Thursday (Sept. 29) at 4 p.m. in the Redeemer Lutheran Church in Wickenburg with Pastor Greg G. Werden officiating. Jean was born and raised in Indianapolis, Ind., and attended schools there. She married Charles W. Dirr, Sr., on Sept. 8, 1938. They made their home in Indianapolis. Charles passed away on June 14, 1963. Jean moved to California later that year to be near her family. She later married George R. Weidmann on May 12, 1972. Upon retirement in 1998, they moved to Wickenburg. Jean was a member of the Redeemer Lutheran Church. She volunteered with the Chamber of Commerce, and was also a member of the Lioness Auxiliary here in Wickenburg. Jean loved the Lord and dedicated her life to the church and her children. She is survived by son and daughter-in-law Charles and Sharon Dirr of Wickenburg; daughter and son-in-law Cathie and LeRoy Gazaway of Nevada, Mo.; daughter and son-in-law Claire and Roy Wilson of Golden Valley, Ariz.; daughter and son-in-law Margaret and David Lauk of Greenfield, Ind.; sister Sarah VanBlaircum of Indianapolis, Ind.; grandchildren Tammy Williams, Mikeal Wilson, Tim and Kimberly Lauk; and nine great-grandchildren. Arrangements are under the direction of Frey-Wickenburg Funeral Home. |
